The end of the year is near. Here is a look at some winter exhibitions to lead us into the holidays, and the year end art fairs to round out 2017 in warmer climates.

I Am a Native Foreigner

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is mounting a series of exhibitions exploring different aspects of the theme of migration through the museum’s collection from artists both past and present, revealing how they deal with, and depict, the impact of displacement. Through June 3, 2018.

As the first comprehensive U.S. museum survey, this exhibition considers 5 decades of Maiolino’s artistic practice including printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, and performance. Through January 22, 2018 at Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.

Subjektiv

Subjektiv explores the relations between art, politics, and subjectivity. The exhibition presents artists who touch on the current political situation and who explore its subjectivity by means of photography, film, installations, texts, and collage. Through January 28, 2018 at Stiftelsen Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo. Curated by the editorial staff of the Objektiv.

I Do Everything to Do Nothing

This solo exhibition of Carlito Carvalhosa presents works produced in different moments of the artist’s career, reflecting his metalinguistic will to revisit his work. Curated by Maria do Carmo M. P. de Pontes. Galeria Nara Roesler, São Paulo, through February 2, 2018.

Miami Art Week 2017

The largest art event in the United States will take place this week in Miami with a collective of over 100 art fairs representing over 1000 galleries and thousands of artists from around the world. A spectacular event, Miami style. Art Miami, Art Basel at Miami Beach, & Design Miami will be among the cornerstones. December 5-10, 2017.
