Recent highlights

Wrapping up our second week with 12,000 pages viewed. Thank you for the shares and the repostings. Here are more recent highlights. Our first week we revisited the 4th of July for the Americans; this past week it was Bastille day for the French.

Magnum Manifesto

A co-production between International Center of Photography and Magnum Photos, this landmark exhibition at ICP celebrates the 70th anniversary of Magnum Photos featuring group and individual projects, the exhibition will include over two hundred prints and other materials.

Ettore Sottsass – Rebel and Poet

Everyone is talking about Ettore Sottsass. This year would have been his 100th birthday, 10th year anniversary of this passing. His works are on view at Vitra Design Museum in Germany through September 24, 2017.

2018: 30 Under 30 / Women Photographers

Submissions now open through November 30. Soon to be the 9th consecutive year, the collective will grow to 270 photographers in all with a quarter-million visitors and nearly a million pages viewed. We are excited to take over this project.

Speaking of photography, some recent and notable profiles include the talented Giacomo Infantino, William Eggleston as standard fare, the eternally young Francesca Woodman, and Walker Evans to reinject some classicism to the millennial climate. “Let us now praise famous men”…
