Summer is now ended, if not foregone. Returned to work, the art world prepares for the robust fall calendar. Here is our look back on the week previewing some upcoming events and recent profiles.

Rose Finn-Kelcey: Life, Belief & Beyond

Modern Art Oxford presents Life, Belief and Beyond, the first posthumous exhibition of works by the highly acclaimed and influential artist Rose Finn-Kelcey. The exhibit focuses on Finn-Kelcey’s explorations of power, performance, political commentary, and perceptions of the self, belief and spirituality. On view through October 15, 2017.

Nepokorennye Prospect

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents an exhibition of Nepokorennye Prospect, held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Nepokorennye studio. In a variety of art forms, from easel and monumental painting to performance and installation, among the twenty artists participating include Ilya Gaponov, and Irina Drozd. September 9 – November 12, 2017.

Inhabitants by Andrea Buzzichelli

Urbanautica presents the book release of Inhabitants, a work which stem​s​ from a photographic survey conducted by Andrea Buzzichelli​ ​during 2015​ ​in the National Park of Casentinesi Forests in Italy where the he ​creates his vision of the forest and ​the ​animal life found within. Available September 7, 2017.

World Press Photo Expo 2017

The event showcases the photography from the winners of one of the most prestigious professional competitions in the world. In 2016, 5000 photographers from 125 countries submitted a total of 80,000 images. On view through one hundred different cities this fall and winter, 2017-2018.

Art Next 2017

A selected group of 72 young talents representing the next generation of artists will gather at Art Next Expo in Hong Kong. Formerly known as New Art Wave, Art Next is the second edition of the expo which connects the next generation of young artists (the youngest being 11 years old) with the world of art professionals and collectors. October 6-9, 2017.

Foam Talent / 20 Artists

Foam is proud to present the work of twenty new Foam Talents. The annual Talent Call is an international search for exceptionally talented photographers under the age of 35. The submissions form an intriguing barometer of current developments in contemporary photography. Through November 12, 2017.
