After returning from years of war coverage, Peter van Agtmael tries to piece together the memory, identity, race, class, and family, in a landscape which has become as surreal as the war he left behind.
Raised in Hong Kong, she always believed that she would be a Chinese writer when she was younger, but after all those years of writing, she decided to take a break after she moved to the United States. She picked up a camera in June 2009 and realized that photography is another medium for telling her stories. She believes that the job of a photographer is not only to capture beautiful moments, but also to share stories. She is now based in Los Angeles and is working in both fashion and fine art photography.
