She started to photograph when she was a child and she mainly works on portraits and body language.

She has exhibited across Italy and Europe and aside from artistic projects, she has worked in the fashion industry, with editorials, advertising campaigns and music video clips.

    In 1978 Grey Crawford created a body of colour photographic work that was so radical in its aesthetic and technique that few people to this day understand how it was made. Chroma documents late 70s Los Angeles in a period of radical urban transformation. Scenes of vernacular architecture, demolition sites and everyday places are contrasted with graphic forms that float on the surface and sit within the image. (more…)

    ROUTING RUBBER (January 19th – March 30th, 2024), showcases Ecuadorian artist Adrián Balseca’s (Quito, b. 1989) research on the plantation rubber industry in the Amazon. Produced on black and white, 16mm film, The Skin of Labour (2016) and its accompanying archive, provide a historical revision of the Amazon’s rubber boom, which saw its highest production from the years 1879 to 1912. Through the project, Balseca challenges the idea of the Amazon as a natural horizon, centering this territory as the origin of industrial modernity. (more…)

The same word was chosen by Mara Palena to call a project that unfolds over the duration of existence.
