This exhibition surveys photos, paintings, and sculptures by 15 artists of Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel who share a particular focus on urban morphology and its contemporary phenomena.

Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel Carpintaria (Rio de Janeiro) is pleased to present the summer group show Cities in Dust. The title is borrowed from British band Siouxsie and the Banshees’ song released in 1985. The exhibit is comprised of photos, paintings and sculptures by 15 of the artists represented by Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, which share a particular focus on urban morphology and its contemporary phenomena.

    The exhibition Magazine was born out of the artist’s long-held desire to publish her own magazine – a very personal magazine that would nonetheless circulate further than just her own circle of friends. Maggie Lee’s passion for this medium of distribution was inspired by her work in copy stores, and above all by creating zines since her teenage years in New Jersey.     Bringing together around 100 works and documents from the collections of the Musée National d’Art Moderne and the Estate of Hannah Villiger foundation, this monographic exhibition dedicated to Swiss artist Hannah Villiger is the first of its kind in France. It pays homage to an artistic practice that oscillated between sculpture, photography and spatial architecture, beginning in the early 1970s and evolving until the mid-1990s.   • Patrick Weldé: Freiheit

    On the occasion of our exhibition with Weldé at CFAlive Milan L’AMOUR TOUJOURS, we publish a new edition of the previously sold-out book that we produced with Weldé in 2017, FREIHEIT. All of the photographs in FREIHEIT were taken by Weldé on disposable cameras between 2011-2015. They show a tender side to the artist and his friend circle, and the purest form of trust. (more…)

  • Patrick Pound: Windows

    In Windows, Pound’s first photobook with Perimeter Editions, we find a cross-section of images lifted from a single category in Pound’s vast collection of 70,000 photographs. Each of the ‘found’ photographs in this new book features a window seen from the outside. We are allowed to look through them, from the privacy of our own homes. We see ghostly figures and happy families; we see actors acting, and everyday folks acting up; we see real and imagined worlds. (more…)
