From icy polar snowscapes to vast and arid deserts; from sweeping agricultural plains to dense tropical rainforest; the earth has always provided an awe-inspiring backdrop to our short stay.

We want you to capture the beauty of our shared planet – nature’s landscapes and man’s influence on them. Let’s step out into our world and capture its majesty! Landscapes, conceptual, aerial, documentary… All genres welcome.

Organized by Life Framer. Competition judged by Samantha Clark, Photo Editor at National Geographic.

  • Jorma Mueller: Restoration to a Better Past
    Publication
    ENTKUNSTUNG
    International

Restoration to a Better Past is a photography book by Jorma Mueller. In Jorma Mueller’s photography there is margin for a biographical hypothesis and glimpses of something that has been lost. The same word was chosen by Mara Palena to call a project that unfolds over the duration of existence. The analog images shot by the artist from her childhood to today do not follow any external precept. (more…)

    Publication
    Beam Editions
    International

In 1978 Grey Crawford created a body of colour photographic work that was so radical in its aesthetic and technique that few people to this day understand how it was made. Chroma documents late 70s Los Angeles in a period of radical urban transformation. Scenes of vernacular architecture, demolition sites and everyday places are contrasted with graphic forms that float on the surface and sit within the image. (more…)
