After studying aesthetic and theory of cinema at the University of Lausanne, Senta Simond completed an M.A. in Photography at ECAL, University of Art and Design in Lausanne, Switzerland. Her work has been nominated for Aperture / Paris Photo First Book, WallpaperGraduate Directory and British Journal of Photography’s Ones to Watch 2018 Ones to Watch 2018. She is the winner of Swiss Design Awards 2018 and was recently featured among Foam’s Talents 2019.

As for one rooted on the cliffs of Posillipo where she also spent the resilient months of the recent Pandemic, while the other belongs to that blood material that protrudes into the vessel of the great swarming artery of Via Foria and its labyrinthine environs, where she still resides.     Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere’s large-scale sculptures and installations of wax, wood, textile, metal and horse hide are executed in an unmistakable artistic style. Grappling with the existential human condition, De Bruyckere’s work addresses human vulnerability and fragility, desire and suffering, resilience and transformation.
