Tri–Angle Open Call 2024

In 2023, the annual Open Call for applications for Triangle-Astérides, Centre for Contemporary Art is open for the first time to artists from the local region who are based in Marseilles and its surroundings, through the Associate Artists program.

The open call is for a 10-week research residency aimed at artists from French (outside Marseilles) and international scenes in the emerging/mid-career stage of their practice, without age or nationality criteria. The opportunity is for artists working in the field of visual arts (all mediums are acceptable). It is possible to apply as a duo.

Triangle-Astérides is a center for contemporary art of national interest based in Marseilles at La Friche la Belle de Mai, a cultural cooperative located in a former tobacco factory, since 1994.

Triangle-Astérides articulates a rigorous program of exhibitions with research residencies for artists from international and French scenes outside Marseilles, Associate Artists and Professionals from the local scene (complementarily with the Marseilles City Studios), to which are added events, editorial projects and a thorough outreach to all audiences.

Artpil periodically publishes submitted announcements of outside opportunities we do not administer. We recommend researching further prior to submitting, especially if entry fees are required.
