The CCCB / Contemporary Culture Center Barcelona centers its activity around creative research and the production of knowledge through a series of central projects produced in-house, such as thematic exhibitions, and other live events and digital formats: international debates, the CCCB Lab, the literature platform Kosmopolis, the Beta line of activities: projects that approach the culture of the 21st century in an integrated way along with the major transformations of the digital era; the Xcèntric experimental film festival, the European Prize for Urban Public Space, the Cultural Innovation International Prize, the CCCB Archive platform and other associated proposals and festivals.

The CCCB works in a network with international institutions and agents, and is linked at the same time to artists, creators’ groups, curators and independent cultural agents from the Barcelona area, supporting their proposals to participate in their creative capital and give them visibility.

The CCCB researches new educational proposals, works on knowledge and production formats under constant critical review, and seeks methodologies based on collaboration and experimentation that materialize as open invitations for submissions and processes of dynamic promotion and mediation.

    On the occasion of the annual FESTIVAL RAISE YOUR ZINE! 2024 THE DOCKS launches its third call! THE DOCKS supports the development of editorial projects by talented photographers from around the world. The prize is a production of a photographic fanzine and the opportunity to exhibit the editorial work, produced after the win, during the days of the festival RAISE YOUR ZINE! planned in Naples at the end of 2024.     Polly Braden: Leaving Ukraine is an intimate portrait of women, forced to leave their homes following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. In this new series of work we see the extraordinary journeys undertaken by mothers, daughters, teenagers and babies in arms. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Polly Braden has used her camera to document the lives of women and children unexpectedly scattered across Europe.
