Irene is a photographer born in Fidenza and based in Milan. Her multifaceted artistic career and his continuous research are focused on the dialogue between music, images and fashion and on how these worlds can merge in a poetic solution.

With her images, Irene builds on stories informed by her personal experiences and mythological and popular tales.

The realism represented in her warm colors and her meticulous light effects goes beyond the ordinary, expressing a constant tension towards a world of alterity and intimate, dreamlike visions in which mythological, spiritual and magical echoes resound.

Irene’s projects are displayed in Stal Gallery in Mascate, Fondazione Bevilaqua La Masa in Venice, Fondazione Forte Marghera in Venice, Thetys Gallery in Florence.

    Dorothy Sing Zhang unveils a compelling portrayal of humanity’s vulnerable state during sleep. The scene is set in the bedrooms of others. One is asked to be asleep, a squeeze cable release is placed under the pillow. The chance of one’s unconscious body rolling over and triggering the camera results in an exposure. Like Someone Alive expands these boundaries by withdrawing the traditional relationships between the photographer, the object and the camera. (more…)

    In October 2022, Russia began to systemically target the objects of the Ukrainian critical infrastructure, disrupting the supply of electricity, water, heat, and telecommunication. Missiles and UAV strikes led to the introduction of rolling blackouts, causing cities and villages to be periodically engulfed in darkness. ‘Energy terrorism’ tactics aimed to disrupt Ukraine’s ‘mental infrastructure’: to break people’s faith in their own strength and their trust in government.
