Once again, the movements of #WhileBlack and Black Lives Matter have been invoked by the swift succession of recent incidents reminding us that the pandemic is not solely from without.
Growing up along the coast of Maine, Kat Kiernan has always had an interest in all things nautical. She received her BFA in photography from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2011. Dedicated to the art of storytelling, she has exhibited her photographic narratives in and around New England and her writings have been featured in various publications. She is the Owner and Director of The Kiernan Gallery and Editor of Don’t Take Pictures. She was recently named Gallery Director at Panopticon Gallery.
