In my photography I am portraying people and places of my home region Kaliningrad in Russia, former Konigsberg. I am an analog, black and white, middle and small format photographer.
Moods and situations that are closer to fairylands than to reality find a contemporary setting in my photos. A kind of sensibility and a curiosity about characters lead to various long term photo series. I like to show the fragility and hidden beauty in our world. I am catching something that surrounds us every day, but needs to be carefully discovered. In my photos, I am offering the viewer to take part in the discovery of those sensitive views.

From the Black Sea, in foggy weather, we navigate along the Bosphorus towards the Golden Horn. From one side of the strait to the other, white marble palaces appear as if emerging from a dream. (more…)
