Modern Art was opened in 1998 by Stuart Shave. From its inception, Modern Art was conceived of as a gallery that would operate on an international level, whilst also supporting British-based artists. It represents the careers of some of the most exciting contemporary artists, who have staged solo museum shows and participated in significant international exhibitions.
