
Berlin Art Week has become one of the highlights of the contemporary art calendar in the German capital. For the sixth time, the Berlin art world will be hosting exhibition openings, fairs, prize award ceremonies, artist films, and numerous special events with citywide openings from September 13th through 17th.
The rich variety of this fall program is made possible by the joint collaboration of institutions, galleries, artist, collectors, and project spaces and draws international attention.

ABC Berlin which has now after nine years become Art Berlin, in a new collaboration with Art Cologne will be presenting over 100 international galleries from 16 countries at Station at Gleisdreieck.
Positions Berlin Art Fair will also continue to be a major presence during Berlin Art Week at Arena Berlin.

Highlights of Berlin Art Week 2017 include the exhibition openings of Monica Bonvicini at Berlinische Galerie, Danny Lyon at C/O Berlin, Thomas Feuerstein’s Prometheus Delivered, Willem de Rooij at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, and the Harun Farocki retrospective at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), along with performances by Miet Warlop at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and Boris Charmatz appearing at the new venue of Volksbühne Berlin located at the former airport Tempelhof.



Other local and international art institutions, galleries, artists, collectors, and project spaces will conduct exhibitions, prize award ceremonies, and special programs with talks, film, and tour offers.
