Foam Talent / 20 Artists
Sep 1 – Nov 12, 2018

Foam is proud to present the work of twenty new Foam Talents. The annual Talent Call is an international search for exceptionally talented photographers under the age of 35. The submissions form an intriguing barometer of current developments in contemporary photography. The Foam Talent programme is a career building platform that helps launch aspiring image-makers into the international photography industry, giving them global acclaim and recognition. Many artists once selected as Foam Talent are now established names in photography. Currently on view through November 12, 2017, Foam presents the work of the twenty selected artists in the museum in Amsterdam, after which the exhibition will travel internationally.

Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum is delighted to open a new exhibition Meaning. Meaning has been inspired by our recent experience. In the past three years, travel almost came to a complete stop. The network of art that emerged in the happy era of globalization has been put to test by physical and ideological barriers, yet it still maintains good faith and conveys news from other parts of art world to us. • Anicka Yi: A Shimmer Through The Quantum Foam
    Sep 15 – Oct 21, 2023
    Esther Schipper
    Berlin, Germany

Esther Schipper is pleased to announce Anicka Yi’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Entitled A Shimmer Through The Quantum Foam, the exhibition features a series of unique animated pod sculptures that pulse and undulate, casting their flickering light across the surfaces of luminous algorithmically-generated paintings. Below this suspended constellation of bio-techno lifeforms, the soft glow of an aqueous ooze – indicative of life’s marine origins – sprawls in a shallow crater in a built up section across the gallery floor.
