Instrumental in launching the careers some of the most respected photographers today, enter now for an opportunity to be recognized and celebrated by the photographic community and gain international exposure and access to the most influential figures in the industry

As one of this year’s five shortlisted photographers you will receive exclusive coverage in British Journal of Photography and VIP access and promotion at Photo London.

Our 2018 grand prize winner will also win a solo exhibition at one of London’s leading galleries.

 

Your own solo show at a leading London gallery

Work closely with acclaimed curator and gallery director Hannah Watson to create your own ambitious solo exhibition at TJ Boulting Gallery during the lead up to Photo London. Watson has worked with some of the biggest names in photography today, including Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin, Alex Majoli and Philip Jones Griffiths.

Travel and accommodation will be provided if you are based outside of London, allowing you to oversee the installation of the show and attend the opening night.

A £5000 production grant from Metro Imaging

One of the UK’s leading Pro-labs, Metro Imaging, will provide a £5000 production grant for you to create your solo show. As the lab of choice for many of the world’s top photographers, the expertise and support of the Metro team will ensure that your exhibition is produced to the highest possible standard.

 

Exclusive coverage from British Journal of Photography

Receive coverage from British Journal of Photography across our print, online and social channels, including a major gloss feature of your work in our Photo London Edition. With a combined reach of over 1 million creatives and industry influencers around the world, BJP is the world’s longest-running and most influential photography magazine. You will also receive a year-long print subscription to BJP.

VIP access to Photo London 2018

This year’s winner and four shortlistees will receive an all-expenses paid trip with VIP access to and promotion at the UK’s biggest international photography fair. A special Photo London Edition of BJP, featuring your work, will be handed to all VIP guests and you will have the opportunity to meet some of the most influential figures in the industry at your own private reception.

You will also receive an exclusive curator’s tour of Photo London and be invited to private views at Peckham 24 and other Photo London weekend events.

Receive a portfolio review from professionals at Metro Imaging, with the opportunity to meet in-person and discuss your work during your trip to Photo London. We encourage submissions from photographers of all levels, based anywhere in the world. Entries should be from a substantial interconnected project on any topic.
