In conjunction with the Salone del Mobile, other major trade shows are running in April such as the biennial events Euroluce (International Lighting Exhibition) and Workplace3.0 (International Workspace Exhibition) in odd years, EuroCucina (International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition) and International Bathroom Exhibition in even years, and the annual International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition. The commercial trade shows were joined in 1998 by the SaloneSatellite, an exhibition intended to provide a showcase for young designers from all over the world and to facilitate their encounter with the most important manufacturers exhibiting at the Salone.Altogether, these exhibitions, called the Salone del Mobile.Milano, cover a net display area of about 230,000 square meters in the Milan Fairgrounds, Rho. The events showcase products manufactured by more than 2,500 of the most dynamic and creative firms operating on the international market, and attract over 300,000 trade visitors, more than 60% of whom from 160 countries around the world.

In addition to the commercial fair, the Salone have featured collateral events, curated by the most renowned international artists, designers and architects because the Salone is synonym of business and culture.This is the Salone, at its 56th edition: an international platform enjoying the “privilege of actuality,” that take stock of the state of art. Every year since ever.The Saloni WorldWide Moscow were launched in 2005 and since then are held annually in October at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre featuring around 500 Italian companies as well as several foreign companies of the furnishing sector.In June 2014 through the merger of Cosmit spa – organizer of the Salone del Mobile since 1961 – and the service company Federlegno Arredo srl the new company Federlegno Arredo Eventi SpA was established to preside the organization of the exhibitions.Federlegno Arredo Eventi’s latest challenge: the launch of the first edition of Salone del Mobile.Shanghai which was held from 19th to 21st November 2016 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.

Preparations have been in full swing for the Salone del Mobile.Milano, the leading international design and furnishing event, which is back from 17th to 22nd April with a packed program of innovations and appointments for the more than 300,000 expected visitors from over 165 different countries. More than 2,000 exhibitors will be ranged over an exhibition area covering more than 200,000 m2, presenting outstanding products and solutions for contemporary living with an informed eye to the future and which combine design, technology, flexibility and sustainability. A vast array of exhibits that marry quality and creativity, thanks to the hard work, commitment and investment in research of the top companies within the sector.

The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is held concurrently with the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, split into the following style categories: Classic: Tradition in the Future, which draws on the values of tradition, craftsmanship and skill in the art of making furniture and objects in the classic style; Design, products that speak of functionality, innovation and boast a great sense of style and xLux, the section devoted to timeless luxury re-read in a contemporary key. 2018 marks the return of the biennial events EuroCucina /FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition, which take place in even years; Euroluce and Workplace3.0 are held in odd years.As always, the exhibits at EuroCucina and FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) will determine the trends and spark inspiration: tomorrow’s kitchen will be an interconnected, multipurpose and professional place, yet one where emotions never fail to run high. Similarly, the International Bathroom Exhibition will showcase a wide range of extremely high-end goods, responding to the increasingly pressing demand for excellent performance with an eye to relaxation.
