Paulina Metzscher was born in 1995 in Hamburg, Germany and is currently based in Berlin. Nostalgia has always been one of her most loyal mind companion and is actually how she came to like photography in the first place.
In 2014, she was awarded as the Sony World Youth Photographer of the Year. Her portfolio consists of various pieces from the field of documentary and fine-art photography. People and their stories, always captured by the intimate look of the photographer, are the focus of her work.
She is deeply influenced by various manifestations of light and the beauty of the human body. Currently she works on a longterm project about the Republic of Moldova.
