Sadie Coles HQ
Gallery / London

Sadie Coles HQ opened in April 1997. The gallery focuses on presenting the work of established and emerging international artists. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition of new paintings by American painter John Currin was mounted in parallel to a show by British artist Sarah Lucas, The Law, in St John Street. This established the international dimension of the gallery’s program. Sadie Coles HQ has operated from a variety of distinctive spaces since its inception, as well as mounting off-site projects in different locations.
