Landscape I – III
Triptych Soil and latex on canvas

Landscape I – III, Triptych Soil and latex on canvas / 100 cm x 73 cm each

These three paintings, functioning both individually and as a triptych, are part of the archeology of the Afterglow installation. The latex which flowed from an acrylic plate – and which served as a support for the appearance of the image – fell on the floor of the riding arena where the installation was made. Three bodies of latex mixed with earth formed throughout the exhibition. These mixtures of earth and liquid latex were carefully recovered by the artist who then arranges them like precious objects on white canvases. Each canvas is traversed by one of these bodies, similar in appearance but substantially different.
