Ultimo Accesso alle 21:40 (Last Excess At 9:40 PM) is a photographic self-portrait that captures the intensity of emotional suffering through the image of a pale face held in the grip of intertwined threads. The artwork originates from an analysis of the concept of the “social network,” a place of human interconnectedness, where unexpectedly, due to individuals spreading hatred or hostility towards someone or something, it can become a suffocating network. The sharp lines of the threads constricting the body embody the pain, insults, and humiliation endured by victims of cyberbullying, obstructing freedom of expression and conveying the idea of immediate and pervasive psychophysical imprisonment. Furthermore, the colors of these threads reference the iconic palettes of well-known platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, and Twitter, emphasizing their pervasive presence in daily life.
