Last August, I went home for the first time since the pandemic began. Three years ago was the last time I visited. It was incredibly difficult to feel so far and not have the ability to see my family and friends. When I went back I ended up photographing many parts of it that I never photographed before as if to remind me of what it all looks and feels like if I ever am unable to go back again. This is a peace lily that sits in the living room of my childhood home. We have had it for many moons. My grandma would water it whenever it was thirsty and sit beside it to rest after cooking lunch. These plants remind me of her.
