Once again, the movements of #WhileBlack and Black Lives Matter have been invoked by the swift succession of recent incidents reminding us that the pandemic is not solely from without.
Founded in 1986, Galerie Claude Samuel exhibits both emerging and established visual artists from around the world. Its program includes a selection of original and intimate works, and while specializing in photography, also includes films, paintings, sculptures, and design. In addition to exhibitions, Galerie Claude Samuel hosts film screenings, artists talks, and concerts.
The gallery is a luminous and contemporary space uniquely located within an archway of the former “Viaduc de Bastille,” which has been transformed into the “Viaduc des Arts.”
