The Cornell Council for the Arts (CCA), directed by Timothy Murray, is a university-wide cultural organization that provides a platform for the creation of and public discourse on the contemporary arts on campus. Through our annual grant program, exhibitions, public talks, artist residencies, special projects, and student awards, the CCA promotes interdisciplinary, collaborative, and experimental artistic forms in order to inspire innovative and challenging projects by students, faculty, departments and programs from all disciplines.

Nan Goldin’s extended photographic study of her chosen family – her ‘tribe’ – began life as a slide show screened in the clubs and bars of New York where Goldin and her friends worked and played. TransmissionAug 31 – Dec 3, 2023Here is a radio tower standing tall, which looks like a monument soaring up with some revolutionary force. This is Paik’s Transmission Tower.
